Embrace Random Results

I usually don't get too caught up in material things but today I fell in love Holga. I have wanted one for a while and I finally found a company in Europe that had them so, well, I had to! I also bought Ray-Ban eyeglasses. I know I am behind the 'trend' but all I can think: I am going to be wearing the same spectacles that Buddy Holly, Clark Kent and Drew Carey rocked. I've never been more excited for FedEx to come.

Speaking of FedEx, I got your package in the mail, Scantron. Thanks for sending me my stuff back even though I called you a "spoiled little man" that will "never be successful or happy" but I still think you are lame. And I can't believe you took someone else to the Oscar party. Psh, over it.

On a lighter note, I am going on a road trip this weekend... Details soon ;) Here's a clue. I saw Coraline with the Journalist this weekend. It was amazingly not gimmicky considering it was in 3-D and came complete with nerd glasses. Pixar never lets me down. Working there is definitely my dream job. One of many.

Oh! And if anyone steals me a bicycle, I will give you my i-pod. I've never even used it.

Jarred Checks Out

I texted my friend Jarred today. He didn't answer so I signed on his facebook. That's where I found out that a couple days ago, he accidentally overdosed and died. Jarred and I only partied a couple times. Most of which included loud jam bands and Pabst Blue Ribbon. I met him because he was wearing purple pants and I used to scream at him when he walked past the windows at Macado's, this bar I worked at in Boone. He moved back to his hometown, Asheville and is partly responsible for pushing me over the edge to re-apply. He was my only friend at UNC-A. I'm going to miss the guy and the handful of fun times we had together but what I'm really upset about is the fun times we were going to have together in the future if he hadn't died. He was 20 years old. That's too young. Jarred looked, loved, and partied like Elvis. He even died like him. I leave you with a quote from Jarred's facebook profile:

"I thank you jesus for my mama and I thank you bitches for my money"

Dumped on Valentine's Day

We weren't officially dating. That doesn't mean I didn't put at least a little bit of my heart into it. Either way, I knew I was too good for him since the beginning. The way he did it was really wrong. I think he did that to hurt me. It's no secret that this guy has some definite issues. Either way, it's over and he's the one that missed out. The thing I'm most sad about is the fact that he bought me Ben Folds tickets for Valentine's day, doesn't even like Ben Folds... and is keeping the tickets. He's the third guy that promised me Ben Folds and the third guy that broke that promise.. He's a spoiled little jerk and I may be too immature and outspoken to refrain from telling him that but at least I won't paint it on the side of his beemer.

He had more cons than pros, anyway and life is all about balance.
I want to live.
I want to give..
I'm a sucker for a heart of gold.

Barbie Doll Crotch!

So, my last night in Los Angeles, Josh and I decided to go see Hedwig and the Angry Inch. To my surprise, it was way more than a movie. It had this Rocky Horror-esque cult of strange misfits, decked out in saran-wrap and goth eye makeup, coming out of the hills to act out every scene in the movie. And there was a Hedwig band that performed all the songs. Perfect. I sat in chocolate pudding (worst) and it totally looked like... well, so I went to the bathroom and just took off my pants completely and proceeded to watch the entire movie in a sweater and my underwear. No one flinched. Well, besides Josh.

I came back to Raleigh on Saturday night. Perfect amount of time for Andy to pick me up from the airport and I got to Parttty! Ha! The Super Bowl was the next night where I met some of Ed's friends. And STEELERS won! Whoo! Kelly had a court date in Wilmington for stealing lingerie so we made a trip out of it and went to Amanda's. Really fun night. Kelly's birthday was pretty fun, we went to the Brewery in Raleigh and saw the Millionaires show. It was great. We met them afterward.
